Don't be a tool, be the solution

Tools should not define your identity as a developer. Focus on problem-solving and challenging conventional norms instead.

Hi, y'all. "Learn from everything, and do not get tied down by your current limitations". This is a motto that I strive to live by. I am always looking for ways to challenge myself, to be better today than I was yesterday. I strive to continuously improve both my own knowledge, and that of those around me, teaching and absorbing knowledge wherever I can.

"Doing the same thing and expecting a different outcome is the definition of insanity", and by that metric I must be at least partially insane, because I keep breaking things and expecting to learn new things from it. At the end of the day: "Doing things differently teaches you how to do things right, doing things right taches you how to repeat it".

So if you are interested in leveraging my inability to stick to a single type of role, and my need for growth feel free to join me in the rabbit hole of insanity. For context: I am a Senior Cloud Architect with Capgemini where I work with my team to bring my crazy ideas to life for the benefit of our clients. I also have experience working, an breaking things, as a Developer, DevOps engineer, and Data Engineer

React, .Net, Java, Python, Azure, AWS, Terraform, the list seems endless. Very often we see a list of tools, be that in a job ad, in an assignment description, a jira task, or even in your own job title. The fact of the matter is that you should not be defined by tools. As developer or engineer you are not defined by your tools, you are defined by your ability and attitude, your job is to solve problems, not to check of a checklist. Lets have a candid conversation about how we can challenge the norms and return to the basics, actually solving problems, rather than inventing them to fit a predefined solution. Lets get into a postition where we can qoute Nick Fury "I recognise that the Council has made a decision. But given that it’s a stupid-ass decision, I’ve elected to ignore it"
